Wednesday, November 19 is the first official Women’s Entrepreneurship Day. I’ll be celebrating by doing what I do: working tirelessly for Lotus Leaf, to help pregnant women sleep better and to protect the planet our babies will inherit. Specifically, I’ll be visiting docs and midwives in the New Haven CT area to share the benefits of the Lotus Leaf with them, and see how I can better support their patients.
The greatest myth I know about pregnancy is about sciatica. As in, “Oh, you have sciatica? It is probably the baby sitting on a nerve.” Except the baby is in your uterus, and your sciatic nerve is in your rear end.
I’m a firm believer that all women should get massage from a trained professional during pregnancy. But sometimes that isn’t possible for financial or practical reasons. (Sometimes that reason is your back hurts, your partner is on a business trip, and it is 3am.) What can you do to help yourself at times like that?
